If this privacy policy changes in any way, we will place an updated version on this page. Regularly reviewing this page ensures you are always aware of the information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we will share it with other parties.

Data Protection Act
Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. You have a right to access your data submitted through this site and change any inaccuracies.
We use leading technologies to safeguard our data, and strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

We will ensure that any information we obtain and use will always be held, used and transferred in compliance with all applicable data protection rules.

We will not give information about you to anyone outside the NHS Health and Well-being Review team unless the law compels us to. Other organisations may include other government departments, local authorities, and private-sector bodies.

What information do we collect?
Aside from the information submitted via the electronic version of the Call for Evidence form, which is hosted separately and securely via Survey Shack, we collect three kinds of information from visitors to www.nhshealthandwellbeing.org:

  • feedback (through the Contact Us email link)
  • professional responses to Call for Evidence questions (through Call for Evidence submission email option)
  • site usage information


Use of cookies on the NHS Health and Wellbeing Review site
As many websites do, we may reserve the right to use ‘cookies’ to improve the service of this website.  ‘Cookies’ are pieces of data created which save and retrieve information when you visit some websites. ‘Cookies’ are small text files which are stored on the hard drive of your computer.
They allow us to personalise your visit to the website, simplify the signing-in process, and keep track of your preferences for the site. Your browser will have the option to prevent websites using ‘cookies’, but this may reduce the functionality of this website.

Use of log files
Log files allow us to record visitors' usage of the site, e.g. IP address, numbers of pages viewed, length of time spent on site. We use this information to enable us to enhance the site. The data we gather in this way does not contain any personal information.

Feedback and questions via Contact us email link
If you provide feedback on our website we will only use it to develop and improve the site. We will keep the actual feedback for 12 months after which it will be deleted but analysis of feedback may be kept.

We may also need to pass data to a third party to answer your questions. Once we have replied to you, we keep a record of your message for audit purposes.

Uses we make of the information
We will only use your information for the purpose as described and will not pass your details on to any third party unless you have given us permission to do so
